Billie Eilish took to the 2024 Grammys stage for an emotional performance of “What Was I Made For?” from Barbie.
Eilish donned an olive green dress with a white-and-green patterned coat and a pink scarf around her head, as she sang the track — which is also up for an Oscar — with her brother and co-writer Finneas O’Connell on the piano.
Ahead of her performance, Eilish had already won a Grammy for best song written for visual media for the hit Barbie song.
The singer-songwriter is up for three other awards at music’s biggest night, including record of the year, song of the year and best music video.

Eilish is one of the artists whose song is up for two of the 2024 Grammys‘ top prizes of record and song of the year. For both honors, she’s up against Taylor Swift’s “Anti-Hero,” SZA’s “Kill Bill,” Olivia Rodrigo’s “Vampire” and Miley Cyrus’ “Flowers.”
Rounding out the song of the year contenders are Jon Batiste’s “Butterfly,” Lana Del Rey’s “A&W” and Dua Lipa’s “Dance the Night,” also from Barbie. As for record of the year, the others up for the top prize are Batiste’s “Worship,” boygenius’ “Not Strong Enough” and Victoria Monét’s “On My Mama.”
Eilish’s nods for her Barbie hit make up five of the soundtrack’s 11 nominations. The film dominated the best songs written for visual media category, receiving four of the five noms for tracks, which also include Nicki Minaj’s and Ice Spice’s “Barbie World,” Dua Lipa’s “Dance The Night” and Ryan Gosling’s “I’m Just Ken.” Rihanna’s “Lift Me Up” from Black Panther: Wakanda Forever was also nominated in that category.
The 2024 Grammys are taking place at the Crypto.com Arena in Los Angeles and being broadcast live on CBS and Paramount+ With Showtime from 5-8:30 p.m. PT Sunday.
